"Only on the basis of true beauty, on the basis of genuine knowledge, will relations between nations be established. And the true guide will be the international language of knowledge and the beauty of art."
N. Roerich

"People are not created to fight among themselves, like cats and dogs. They must be intelligent enough to understand the meaning of human life. Vedic literature is intended for people, not for cats and dogs."
"Sri Isopanisad," Mantra One, Commentary

"Where there is culture, there is peace."
N. Roerich

The exhibition "From India to Bharatavarsha" presents paintings by sixteen female artists. Some of them have visited India and created sketches from life there; others observed the country's unique features and painted their works after their return, based on their impressions. Others had never been to India but were impressed by the photographs and stories and expressed their emotions in paintings. And then there are those who have visited the country, were impressed, and became genuinely interested in the culture, and are now studying it directly.
What is Indian culture? Of course, it's about vegetarianism, clothing and fabrics decorated with exotic patterns, festivals and celebrations, rituals and worship, mantras and ancient Sanskrit texts. The culture of this country stems from ancient times, and the Vedas form its foundation. Here's what A. Khakimov (Chaitanya Chandra Charan Prabhu) says about this: "The word 'Veda' literally means 'knowledge.' This concept has survived in the Russian language to this day, because the Vedas were given for all humanity. The oral tradition of knowledge transmission has been known since the creation of the universe. This is known from written sources. Although the origins of this knowledge go back into the immemorial past, there is a chain of disciplic succession, thanks to which this knowledge has been transmitted uncorrupted to the present day. The Vedas were written down in their entirety in Sanskrit five thousand years ago by the sage Vyasadeva. He organized and interpreted them, thus preserving the original knowledge..." (quoted from the book "Levels of Consciousness" by A. Khakimov)
Thus, in an attempt to combine a modern view of India with the ancient cultural values ??of this country, formerly named Bharatavarsha after its king, this exhibition is titled "From India to Bharatavarsha."
Artist Elena Stukalina, the exhibition organizer.

The play "Two in the World," based on Olga Maslovskaya's play of the same name, is a story of love and the pilgrimage of Emperor Nicholas II (then Tsarevich Nikolai Alexandrovich) to the East. The premiere is a fragment of the scene where Tsarevich Nikolai Alexandrovich meets a holy elder in Vrindavan.
